Founded in 1991, the residential child welfare unit has 14 places in two departments. It accepts girls and boys aged 12–18 who are in care or placed as a non-residential support measure. Care and upbringing follow a therapeutic approach.
It is operated by Lamujoen perhekodit Oy, which also provides independent living housing. Responsibility has passed from the founders to the next generation. A self-monitoring plan can be downloaded from the website.
