Opened to the public in Nikkilä in August 2013, this bilingual cultural house occupies a historic log building. It is run by an association founded in 2010 and acts as a children's culture centre, a member of the Finnish Children's Culture Association. Its own professional children's and youth theatre productions are performed in Finnish and Swedish. Arts education for children, youth and adults includes Mini Villan for under-3s and drama education (TEATRO!), and the programme also covers exhibitions, live music, theatre, music instruction and events.
Café Lilla Villan serves lunch and café products, and event catering is provided by Cedaro Catering. Rooms can be rented for parties, meetings and family celebrations. The art garden around the building is open as a meeting place, and senior culture activities run with Palvelutalosäätiö. The car park is wheelchair accessible.
