This municipally run sports park is open to residents year-round. It has running tracks with a Spurtan surface and athletics areas, an artificial-turf football field, an unofficial basketball court and a playground. In summer the former ice hockey rink holds three full-size tennis courts.
The outdoor gym has upper and lower pull trainers plus bench press, squat and core equipment, with QR codes for instructions. Exercise stairs lead to a lookout over the town centre. Next to the sports hall is a skate park opened in 2016, open to skateboards, BMX, scooters and roller skates; alcohol and smoking are prohibited and CCTV is in use. The car park and entrance are wheelchair accessible. The municipal recreation centre Kommattivaara is nearby.
