The Ostrobothnian-style cruciform church was built in 1793 by Yrjäänä Lepistö together with parishioners. A tower was added in 1840. Seating about 400, the building has undergone several renovations, including a major restoration in 1992 by architect Matti Klemola. An old wooden female poor-box figure stands in front of the bell tower.
Step-free access is through a rear door. A hearing loop is available for hearing aid users, and both parking and the toilet are wheelchair accessible.
