The Lutheran parish traces its history to a royal letter from 1449. Its present brick church was completed in 1860, and the Somerniemi chapel parish joined in 2007. Activities include services, confirmation classes, family and other clubs, and funeral and cemetery services.
Services are streamed live and recorded on the YouTube channel; videos are not subtitled. Volunteer work parties are held at the cemetery. The location's entrance, parking area and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
