This lakeside manor on Lake Saimaa was built in 1836 in the Empire style and is said to have been designed by architect C. L. Engel. The estate's history goes back to the 1400s, and the name of the parish is believed to come from the Sulkavainen family. The current owners acquired the manor in the late 1990s and restored it, keeping the historical rooms and furniture.
Guests can stay at the manor and enjoy a manor breakfast, and in summer a waffle café opens in the main building. The ballroom of about 100 m² suits events for 60 to 70 people, and separate rooms take 20 to 30 and 10 to 15. Meeting facilities are open year-round, and wedding parties can prepare the venue the day before. The campsite is in the town centre by the Uitonvirta strait, with self-service check-in. Saunas can be rented, and the Rantamakasiini bar and terrace and seasonal events are on site. Parking and Wi-Fi are free and pets are welcome, but there is no pool or gym.
