Completed in 1754, this wooden cruciform church is thought to have been designed by Eskil Collenius. Its bell tower dates from 1750. In 1846–1847, walls were sawn apart and the transepts turned outwards to enlarge the interior; floors, galleries, pews, windows and the pulpit were also renewed. A major renovation in 2019 renewed the interior paintwork, gilding and lighting.
The church seats 500 people. Bookings are handled by Taipale parish office service points. The entrance, car park and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
