Youth society Aura's theatre activity dates back to the 1930s. The summer theatre was founded in 1965 and staged its first play in 1966. Audiences sit on benches in an open-air auditorium. The repertoire has included plays by Turkka Mali with music written for them, and children's productions since the 2010s.
