This grey stone church belongs to the local Lutheran parish. The oldest part was built in the early 1500s, and the church was extended to its present size in 1781–1785. Its patron saint is Saint Michael, whose sculpture stands on the left wall. The church holds seven wooden sculptures, the oldest from the 1500s. The altarpiece, showing the Transfiguration of Christ, was painted by court painter R. W. Ekman in 1860. The pulpit was donated in 1670 by Lorenz Creutz of Saaren kartano. The first organ was built in 1850 by the Finnish organ builder Anders Thulé and has since been repaired and enlarged. The baptismal font is carved from a single pine felled in 1626 or 1627.
The church has undergone a thorough renovation, with the sacristy interior renewed. The parish also rents out its premises, including the parish hall, the rectory and the Kaitalampi camp centre. The car park, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
