This café is in the lobby of the hospital's R building and is run by the Pikante restaurant chain. It serves breakfast, with porridge until 9:30, a daily lunch of soup, salads and baked potatoes, and an all-day selection of coffee, tea, specialty coffees, paninis, smoothies, buns, bagels, pastries and doughnuts. Ice cream includes Il Primo portioned ice cream and 3-kaverin jäätelöt. The sweet and savoury treats change.
The café moved to a new spot in the lobby. Meeting catering packages are offered, with booking terms on the website. Pikante has run cafés and restaurants since 1962 and holds the Ekokompassi environmental certificate and Avainlippu commitments. Seating, parking, the entrance and the toilet are wheelchair accessible.
