Founded in 1997, this technology company develops functional coatings for industrial applications. It began by commercialising a coating chemical developed at a technical university. Its Avalon products create hygienic, non-stick and antifouling surfaces, alongside corrosion-resistant, wear-resistant and optical coatings.
It manufactures thermal spray consumables, including ceramic powders, sealers, suspensions and precursors, also to customer specifications. A laboratory and research network support coating and process development, while complete coating lines can be supplied through its partners. The company is a strategic supply partner for Valmet Technologies.
