Home-based family day care is provided through a national network, with no more than four children per childminder. Days include home-cooked food, outdoor time and activity in nature. Each child has one familiar carer, and trained childminders have pedagogical skills.
Applications are made online. Families can visit the childminder's home before starting. A gradual introduction allows a parent to stay during the first days. The service is municipally supervised.
