Founded in 1943, the women's choir became an independent registered organisation in 1945. Its repertoire includes traditional women's choir music, folk songs and arrangements of popular songs. It belongs to the Finnish Women's Choir Association and the Finnish Amateur Musicians' Association.
Rehearsals take place at Kalevan lukio. The choir gives annual spring and Christmas concerts and takes part in song festivals and charity concerts. New singers are welcome.
