The museum office provides services for research into postal history, stamp collecting and postcards. Collections include stamps, postmarks, postcards, letters and wartime field post. Online resources include searchable postal regulations and circulars from 1812–1989 and a Finnish post office database published partly as open data.
Library visits require an appointment. Questions can be submitted through the Ask the Museum online service or by email, while larger searches can be commissioned from the collections service. Prospective donors of collection material are asked to get in touch in advance.
