Designed by Ilmari Launis and built under Martti Pasanen's direction, the red-brick church was completed in 1925. The partly plastered, short-armed cruciform building has a semicircular apse. Its historicist style combines National Romantic, Romanesque, Gothic and classical features. Architect Matti Höyhtyä oversaw restoration of the 1920s interior in 1991.
Artworks include stained glass by Launis and a crucifix by Paananen. The church can be hired for religious ceremonies and concerts, with basic sound equipment and a hearing loop. The entrance, parking and toilet are accessible.
