A steel salmon statue stands on the Nordberg bluff by the Torniojoki river, next to Pharmacy park. It was designed by the artist couple Pekka and Teija Isorättyä and commissioned for the town's 400th anniversary in 2021. Steel and salmon are both symbols of the town, and the work brings them together.
The steel rings reflect light, and the statue is illuminated during the dark months. The site has a wheelchair accessible entrance and accessible parking.
