This registered association, Terapiayhdistys Sateenkaari ry, provides medical rehabilitation for children, young people and infants under one roof: physiotherapy, pool therapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy. Services are in Finnish, and physiotherapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy are also offered in Swedish. Pool therapy is held in Finnish in the surrounding municipalities.
Equipment includes a large sensory integration therapy room, a Motomed cycle, a Joba Trainer riding simulator and whole-body vibration, and the speech therapy tools cover oral motor, communication and speech training. The premises are allergy-free, and an animal-assisted therapy room has its own entrance; assistance dogs may accompany clients. Therapists hold specialisations such as NDT/Bobath, Theraplay, PROMPT, Oral Placement Therapy, Sensory Integration and PRT. Clients may apply to Kela for travel reimbursements, and therapy can also be given at home or in the pool. The entrance and car park are wheelchair accessible.
