This multi-purpose event hall can be hired for family celebrations, meetings, and training or lectures. The hall seats about 80 guests for parties and up to 100 as a seated audience, and suits about 40 people for training and presentations. It has dimmable lighting, a sound system, a piano, a data projector, a projection screen and a flip chart.
The building is owned by the Vähä-Heikkilä Mäkitupalaisyhdistys, a residents' association founded in 1909 that originally represented small-holders and crofters in the area. It was inaugurated on 5 November 2001 on a small plot leased from the city. The large, well-equipped kitchen can be used for your own catering, or you can order food from a partner cook. The kitchen-side door has a ramp for wheelchairs and rollators. The car park, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
