This Turku recycling centre is an independent, non-profit environmental organisation run by the Kestävän Kehityksen Yhdistys (Association for Sustainable Development). Its aim is to increase reuse and create jobs. The shop sells second-hand furniture, household goods, electronics and bicycles.
You can bring electrical and electronic equipment in any condition, as well as household items that still work. Devices are tested, and anything that is not resold goes to material or energy recovery. Batteries are accepted too, and transport for unwanted items can be ordered. The entrance is step-free, and a visit usually takes from 15 minutes to an hour.
