The day care centre sits in a quiet detached-house area in Koivula, on the Turku-Kaarina border, and opened in August 2022. It belongs to the Satupäiväkodit group. Younger children are on the ground floor and older ones upstairs, and each age group has its own play yard. The yard includes a traffic park, and nearby forests and parks are used for outdoor activities and excursions.
The approach is based on positive pedagogy and everyday-activity pedagogy. The day includes outdoor play, exercise, crafts, music, storytelling, theatre and everyday chores. Staff are early childhood teachers and childcare workers, and a special-needs early childhood teacher offers consultation. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
