This new residential district is being built on the former Hyrylä barracks area and is planned for up to 15,000 residents. It combines a town centre with park-like residential villages and natural forest. A public art programme is carried out with local stakeholders, funded by a developer art levy and the municipal art fund.
A sports centre in the area has a swimming hall, an ice hall, an indoor football hall and artificial turf fields. Outdoor options include cross-country ski trails, a frisbee golf course and forest paths. The nearby Tuusulanjärvi cultural heritage area is linked to Finnish painters and writers. Regular buses run to Kerava station and Helsinki within the HSL area, and residents can contact the project team about the area's development. The car park and entrance are wheelchair accessible.
