A former leather factory building now houses a multi-tenant business centre, owned and developed by Kiinteistöosakeyhtiö Friitala-Talo. The premises are rented out for various uses, and current tenants include design, engineering, health and sports service companies. The building also holds the lounge restaurant Cafe Hellman and the Pekan Parhaat bakery shop with a café.
The Nahkamuseo (Leather Museum) tells the story of the building and of leather processing. Friitalan Nahkatehdas was founded in 1892 by Arthur Hellman and grew into one of Northern Europe's largest leather factories. Friitala leather upholstered chairs in Parliament House and Finlandia Hall. Production ended in 2010. A presentation of the vacant premises can be requested via the contact page, and the car park and entrance are wheelchair accessible.
