Athletics activities include a throwing school for young athletes and Tulevat Tähdet camps for children. The throwing school has about 20 sessions during winter and spring, with coaches including international youth championship medallists in javelin and discus.
Coach education includes an introductory course for those coaching children under 11. Course registration uses Suomisport. Activities are linked to the regional and youth programmes of the Finnish athletics federation.
