Operated by the municipal waste authority Ekokymppi, the sorting station accepts separated waste such as paper, cardboard, scrap metal, wood, glass, textiles, electrical appliances and hazardous waste. Reusable sports equipment, toys, tools and small furniture can also be dropped off.
Visitors unload their own waste into the collection containers. Doors, windows, mattress-type furnishings and large waste items are not accepted. Asbestos must be bagged or wrapped in plastic, and some hazardous waste is accepted only in small quantities. Business customers need a waste contract and a billing account.
