According to its website, the largest glacial erratic in Rokua Geopark measures about six metres high and 11 metres long. It split after being transported by ice, and its original weight is estimated at over 500 tonnes. The coarse-grained granite, or pegmatite, crystallised around 1,800 million years ago.
Opened to visitors in 2023, the site forms part of Rokua UNESCO Global Geopark. An accessible path of about 200 metres leads from the parking area when the ground is free of snow.
