This student housing foundation was founded in 1972 and has operated for over 50 years. It offers single rooms, studio flats, and two- and three-room apartments both on the campus and in the city centre. It is a major property owner and developer and provides housing for about one in five students.
The board has 10 to 11 members nominated by the local student unions, the city and the tenant cooperation body YVA, through which residents' committees also take part in the foundation's activities. Online services cover apartment applications, fault reports, a door-opening service and booking of sauna slots and shared spaces; sauna shifts are free for residents. Residents also get bicycle and car sharing (Omago), home insurance and student electricity contract partners. The car park and entrance are wheelchair accessible.
