This family-owned hardware store was founded in 1862 as a colonial goods shop and specialised in hardware in the 1890s. The fifth generation of the Hartman family now runs the company. It carries building materials, interior supplies, timber and boards, steel, tools and industrial supplies. Specialist departments cover paints, cleaning and hygiene products, and garden and forestry equipment.
The store serves private customers and professional builders. Products can be ordered from the online store and collected in store (Click & Collect). There is a steel sales service for industry and businesses, and a professional service for building trade professionals and resellers. The company holds PEFC certification for sustainable forestry. Parking, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
