This historic market hall was designed in Gothic style by architect A.W. Stenfors and opened in 1902. It houses shops, a fish specialist, a delicatessen, a Thai lunch restaurant and a Finnish-Italian café with a bakery. The fish shop sells fresh fish from the Kvarken archipelago, Sundom smoked fish, shellfish, fish preserves and seasonal items. Caffettino roasts its own organic coffee and makes Italian and Finnish handmade bakery products.
Niyom Thai Restaurant serves a Thai lunch with vegetarian and vegan options, with dessert and coffee included in the lunch. Bistro Kauppahalli is a lunch restaurant with salads, soups and club sandwiches, and it offers catering. Materiet sells deli products, cheeses and vegetables. Local foods, produce and specialities, and fresh groceries, are all under one roof. The car park, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
