Ruins remain in the Hovioikeus grove from a Soviet prisoner-of-war camp that operated in 1941–1944. Around 427 prisoners were held here and used for labour, including construction of Huokausten tie, the Road of Sighs, from Vanha Satama. Punishments included public whipping; research cited by the source records six prisoners shot in 1941–1943.
The former camp is now a grassy area crossed by a jogging path. A mass grave for 75 prisoners and a memorial are at Kappelinmäki Orthodox cemetery.
