Built in 1887, the house serves as an art gallery and artists' workspace. The city handed it over to the art association in 1987. Members can hold exhibitions and use the workspaces, and the association also arranges summer exhibitions at the Ilkka studio in Voipaala Art Centre.
Public access is on individually announced dates and during events. Parking is wheelchair accessible, but the entrance, toilet and seating are not. There is no hearing loop.
