Based at the Winqvist family's Hevossilta farm, the riding school is part of the Finnish Equestrian Federation's quality stable programme. Nina and Stig Winqvist founded the business in 1980. Alongside daily lessons, it runs courses, camps, events and competitions, with training groups competing across Finland.
Two indoor arenas and two outdoor fields allow two lessons to run at once. Horses eat oats and hay grown on the farm and use its straw for bedding. The roughly 400 hectares also grow rye, barley and wheat. Lesson places are arranged by phone on weekdays; text messages are accepted too. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
Tell other riders about your lessons or camp in the comments.
