MELTEX is a Finnish manufacturer and wholesaler of plastic building products. It makes municipal infrastructure pipes, manholes, pumping stations and ground-construction fabrics. The company was founded in Uurainen in 1993 as a maker of plastic field drainage pipes, and says its plant is the world's northernmost geotextile production facility. The range includes MX filter fabrics, insulated pipe systems, stormwater pipes, manholes and covers, and MX pumping stations. It employs around 400 people.
Customers include infra and HVAC contractors, construction companies and resellers. The company offers commissioning and maintenance services for its pumping stations and separators, and a business account service for ordering and invoicing. An online store is available, and the retail branches stock a wide range of construction plastic products. According to its website, it has a quality management system and a sustainability report.
