Founded in 1973, the ice hockey players' labour and interest organisation safeguards players' status as employees. It maintains model player contracts and collective agreements for the top league and Mestis and runs a register of hockey agents.
Players can find career transition, study, mental health and substance-use support, plus insurance and pension information. Services include a player-contact network, safe playing environment resources and the Elämän Pelikirja life-coaching programme. The office is in Plaza Business Park, and information is also available in English.
