This vocational school is part of the vocational education provider in North Savo run by the Savo Education Joint Municipal Authority, owned by 16 municipalities. It offers vocational qualifications, continuing education and upskilling for young people and adults. Dozens of fields and over 100 qualifications and courses are covered, including care assistant, business, driving, hairdressing, cooking, machining, horticulture, construction and electrical work. Applications are accepted continuously, so studies can start at any time.
According to its website, it has trained over 100,000 professionals and operates at several campuses in North Savo. It also runs a high school, Varkauden lukio, and Sakky Yrityspalvelut serves companies. Exchanges include Erasmus study periods and international traineeships. The car park and entrance are wheelchair accessible.
