This marked hiking route runs about 38–40 km from the municipal centre, starting at Einarin puisto, to Talaskangas. It is marked on the ground with blue and red paint and arrow signs showing distances, and follows old footpaths, cart roads and village roads. Sights include the Kuorejärvi slash-and-burn area, old spruce forests along the Kotvakkojoki and the Talaskangas nature reserve.
The route is classed as very demanding, is unmarked in places and requires map-reading skills. It is not suitable for people with mobility impairments. Lean-to shelters where fires are allowed stand along the way at Hukkala, Pitkäkangas, Läsykoski and Puolinmäki, and they can be reached by car if needed. The municipality holds the annual Aarni, the Walk of Silence, on the route, with bus transport and return rides for participants.
