The theatre behind this summer venue is Vihdin Teatteri ry, an amateur association founded in 1972 and run by volunteers. Summer productions are staged on the covered stage at Kirkkoniemi, with a covered auditorium of about 563 seats. The winter season is performed indoors at Kulttuurikeskus Kultsa, which has about 350 seats and a step-free entrance. The children's and youth group TenTeen meets at Kultsa in two age groups, working in both Finnish and Swedish.
Group bookings, wheelchair spaces and Kaikukortti tickets are handled through the theatre office, and regular tickets are sold via Netticket. Costumes from the theatre's wardrobe can be rented for parties and events. Volunteers are welcome in acting, costumes, technical work, the café and background tasks, and no experience is needed. The car park, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
