Founded in 1946 and owned by five municipalities, the electricity company sells power and operates a distribution network across South Ostrobothnia, Central Finland and Pirkanmaa. It offers fixed-term, open-ended and flexible electricity contracts, supplies solar power and buys surplus electricity from small producers.
Services include tree felling near power lines, locating underground cables, and metering and connection services for electrical contractors. The Wirtane app tracks electricity use, bills and contracts. Customer service is available by phone and at offices.
