Operated by Perämeren Jätehuolto, the eco-station accepts waste unsuitable for household bins because of its size or material. Accepted types include electrical equipment, hazardous waste, untreated wood, scrap metal, garden waste and cardboard, plus mixed, construction and demolition waste and soil.
Households use a customer card. Businesses can bring individual loads; regular or large loads are directed to Jäkälä waste centre. Certain waste types require a transfer document submitted with the load or by email. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
