Formed in 2011 by merging two civic institutes, the regional adult education institute offers general interest and hobby courses for adults and some for children and young people. Subjects include arts, crafts, languages, music, exercise and health. Courses do not lead to degrees.
Options include year-long courses and short intensive, daytime and evening study. Commissioned training is offered to organisations, alongside higher education exam invigilation. Benefit cards such as Smartum and Edenred are accepted. The entrance and car park are wheelchair accessible.
