The hotel stands in Hetta, near the edge of Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park. The family business began in 1962 as a home bakery and was later converted from a guesthouse into a hotel. It was founded by Laine and Juhani Niemi, and the current generation of the family works here. There are 32 rooms with 58 beds, and the single and double rooms have a TV, desk and free Wi-Fi. The house has two saunas and an indoor swimming pool, and a private sauna with a fireplace room can be booked. The 192-seat restaurant holds a full alcohol licence and serves Lappish specialities and international dishes.
Breakfast is included with the room booking and parking is free. A small souvenir shop is in the lobby, and Wi-Fi is free in the common areas. Activities in the area include northern lights viewing and safaris. The hotel is non-smoking and child-friendly, but there is no gym.
