Founded in 1963, the music institute provides basic arts education following the extensive music syllabus. Its Ebeli programme covers pop and jazz. Students can take part in orchestras and wind ensembles.
The main site is in the cultural centre, with teaching also provided at other locations and schools. Public concerts and student recitals are held regularly, and the institute publishes an annual report and student magazine. The entrance and car park are wheelchair accessible.
