This small private daycare provides municipally purchased services and is maintained by a parent-run support association. Children under three join the Siilit group, while Leppäkertut is for ages three to five. Staff comprise two early childhood teachers, two care workers and an assistant.
A six-member board elected annually from parents helps manage operations, staffing, admissions and finances. Families join shared barbecue evenings, Christmas and summer celebrations and volunteer work days. Children's development and learning are supported in cooperation with parents.
