The non-profit, association-run day-care centre provides Swedish immersion early childhood and pre-primary education for Finnish-speaking children. No prior Swedish is needed; adults use it in everyday routines and celebrations. A board of parents oversees the operation.
Full-day, part-day and part-week care are available. Groups are small, with no more than seven children per caregiver. Activities include excursions and cultural experiences. The immersion pathway continues through primary and lower secondary school.
