The historic 18th-century farmhouse main building is said to be among the oldest in the area. It is believed to have been built around 1737, with the hall section added later, possibly in the early 1800s. The large main room has preserved its original beams and a folded ceiling. In the 1760s it served as a coaching inn on the Kuninkaantie road to Helsinki, and it has been a coffee house since 1939, well known and popular.
Home-style lunch is served daily from about 10:30 to 15:00 or until sold out, and the menu marks lactose-free, gluten-free, vegan and dairy-free dishes. Wine and beer are served, including Italian and New Zealand wines and a Scottish IPA. Accessible seating and parking are available.
