Established by private individuals in 1970, the foundation provides social services as part of Edistia. It supports people including mental health rehabilitees, unemployed people and those experiencing homelessness, offering housing, daily living support, and work and study placements. Supported housing for ages 18–29 combines private studios with shared spaces.
Housing advice, work coaching, courses and training for social care staff are also offered. Its subsidiary EDIAS Hoivapalvelut Oy was established as a social enterprise in 2007. The entrance and parking area are wheelchair accessible.
