This professional association for investment analysts was founded in 1989 to raise the profile and standing of the profession in Finland. It has about 400 members, mostly working in equity analysis or portfolio management. It belongs to EFFAS, the European federation of financial analyst societies, and keeps links with international analyst associations.
The association organises seminars, discussion events and training, including the annual CEFA by EFFAS training and certification. A shorter CESGA course is aimed at ESG analysts. It also comments on matters concerning investment analysis and the securities markets. Membership requires the CEFA qualification or a higher academic degree plus work experience, or five years of capital markets experience.
