This Finnish Criminal Sanctions Agency community sanctions office began as a four-person regional office in 1990. Community service was introduced locally in 1994. Its work includes a support patrol for the Häme area, and the branch has about seven staff.
The service area includes Forssa, Hattula, Hausjärvi, Humppila, Janakkala, Jokioinen, Loppi, Riihimäki, Tammela and Ypäjä as well as the town where the branch is based. The client assessment unit provides guidance on prison placement and deferment matters.
