This stone building from 1890 was built by A. W. Meyer to designs by the architects Kiseleff & Heikel, and it has operated as a hotel and restaurant ever since. Inside are wall paintings by Tove Jansson from 1952, showing the town's history and sea imagery.
The restaurant serves a weekday lunch with a salad buffet and dessert table, and an à la carte dinner of steak, fish, poultry and vegetarian and vegan dishes. A separate vegan tasting menu and a steak menu are available. Dishes are labelled gluten-free and lactose-free, and alcohol-free wine options are offered. Wine & Cafe serves espresso-based coffee drinks, cocktails, mocktails, wine and milkshakes. Late at night the bar and nightclub has a DJ and dance floor, and the venue hosts live entertainment, dinner and show events and freestyle rap performances. The sauna and meeting facilities are separate services. The premises are not wheelchair accessible.
