The non-profit association restores water areas and shorelines for residents, visitors and biodiversity. Work includes shoreline meadow management, pools for fish and birds, and cutting aquatic vegetation and reeds, using an environmental maintenance raft and paired mowing boats.
People can join restoration work parties or become individual, business or community members. The association offers summer jobs for young people and accepts donations. Restoration projects have also taken place in other municipalities, including Pyhtää.
