This Japanese restaurant sits inside the MUJI Kamppi store. The menu combines Japanese cuisine with Finnish ingredients, and the food philosophy rests on the Japanese concept of wa, or harmony. Simple cooking methods bring out the flavours of the ingredients. Head chef Hannes Tolvanen works with Japanese food adviser Isamu Matsuoka on the menu.
The lunch menu includes Ichijyu Sansai, a traditional balanced Japanese meal of rice, soup and three dishes, as well as teriyaki salmon, karaage chicken, tonkatsu, katsu curry and miso ramen. Vegan and dairy-free or lactose-free options are available. Drinks include Japanese beers, Japanese soda, matcha latte and house wines. Tables can be booked in advance, and the seating, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
